What exactly is the CTLM?
The Center for Teaching, Learning & Mentoring supports UW-Madison faculty and staff in their growth as instructors. There are more than 12,000 academic staff professionals at UW-Madison and roughly 2,800 teach courses. The Center for Teaching, Learning and Mentoring offers programs and resources that support academic staff instructors, such as:
New to Teaching on Campus?
From learning evidence-based teaching approaches to creating your syllabus and Canvas course, the CTML has your back. The Center’s programs help you to tackle the challenges of teaching and connect you with colleagues in a supportive and collaborative environment. Teaching Fellows Learning Community
The CTLM coordinates a dynamic Teaching Fellows Learning Community which offers a space to explore pedagogical teaching practices while unpacking the challenges and successes of teaching. The learning community takes into account academic staff instructors’ interests and needs while exploring equitable and inclusive course design and strategies for providing efficient feedback to students.
The learning community is open to academic staff with any level of teaching experience who are teaching credit-bearing courses at UW-Madison.
