The Office of the Secretary of the Academic Staff (SOAS) and academic staff shared governance provide a variety of ways for individuals to engage. Whether it’s participating in academic staff chats, attending the academic staff institute, finding or becoming a mentor, connecting over lunch at a Campus Roundtable, viewing artwork created by your colleagues, or exhibiting your own artwork, there are plenty of opportunities for you.
Academic Staff Chats
An academic staff chat is a frank, open discussion with a small group of your colleagues on a particular topic.
Academic Staff Institute
An annual professional development conference for UW-Madison academic staff held during the spring semester.
Mentor Match Program
A nine-month program to connect early-career academic staff members to the wider network of staff and the UW-Madison community.
University Roundtable
Each semester the Campus Roundtable features 3 lunch programs with a talk or program by a member of the university community.
