2019 Executive Education Grant Competition Announced

2019 DCS Course Grant Program Announced

The Academic Staff DCS Course Grant Program is now live for 2019. In partnership with the Division of Continuing Studies, the PDRC is announcing this year’s program to offer grants for academic staff to attend courses offered by DCS. Call for UW System Academic Staff Award Nominations

The call for nominations for the UW System Academic Staff Excellence Awards (deadline February 8th) has been announced. Awardees will be recognized at an award ceremony at the June Board of Regents meeting in Milwaukee and receive a monetary award.

There are two awards: the Academic Staff Regents Award for Individual Excellence, and the Academic Staff Regents Award for Program Excellence. Award information and nomination guidelines for all awards can be found at: https://acstaff.wisc.edu/professional-development/awards/uw-system-awards.

UW-Madison Academic Staff Excellence Awards Call for Nominations

A call for nominations for the 28th year of the UW-Madison Academic Staff Excellence Awards (deadline January 11th) has been announced. All awardees will be recognized at an award ceremony and receive a monetary award.

UW-Madison academic staff wins Underkofler award

UW-Madison academic staff member Paul Hooker was one of three awarded the Alliant Energy/Underkofler Excellence in Teaching Award. The award recognizes those who demonstrate outstanding commitment to student success.  Hooker is a Senior Lecturer who played a key role in the Chemistry Department’s REACH initiative, which promotes active learning. He also helped create new learning objectives affecting about 3,000 students per year. For more information and other award winners please go to the link below.

Fall Academic Staff Art Gallery Reception on Oct. 8

The Secretary of the Academic Staff Office is holding the semi-annual Academic Staff Art Gallery reception on October 8, from 2:45 pm – 3:30 pm in 270 Bascom Hall. This semester’s academic staff artist is Mary Treleven, Graduate Academic Program Coordinator in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics.
