Want to develop your project management skills or become a better manager? Need to know more about finance and accounting? Then consider applying for the 2008 Competition for Executive Education Courses. Any member of the UW-Madison campus academic staff is eligible to apply.
The Executive Education program in the UW-Madison School of Business is offering five single-course enrollments as a contribution to Academic Staff professional development. The main objectives of the grant program are individual professional development, improved program quality, and improved institutional effectiveness.
Courses are offered in the following areas:
Mid-Management Development Basic Management Project Management Advanced Project Management Information Technology Financial Management Marketing Management Product Management Certificate |
Sales and Sales Management Purchasing and Supply Management Six Sigma Green Belt Series Supply Chain Management Transportation Management Construction Management International Business

Single-course registration fees in the Executive Education program average $600 per day. Grants will cover all but a $50/day administrative fee. Your department may have discretionary funds to cover the administrative fee.
Individual courses may be selected from many of the 200 Executive Education programs. A copy of the course catalog is available on request by phoning 441-7357 or 1-800-292-8964 or FAX 441-7359.
You can view the latest dates and fees at http://exed.wisc.edu. Select your area/s of interest from "Open Enrollment Topics." Choose "Calendar" to see a list of programs, dates, and fees for that topic. Online information supersedes catalog dates and fees.
The Academic Staff Professional Development and Recognition Committee will select five grant recipients. Selection criteria will be based on improved effectiveness in your present position.
Applications must include:
1. Completed application form Adobe PDF or MS Word RTF format
2. Resume
3. One or two letters of support from your supervisor or a colleague
