CEBC Meeting

October 3, 2001


Members present:

Ronnie Carda, Jo Ann Carr, Jim Pavelko, Bill Steffenhagen, Larry Davis, Thomas Achtor, Jim Pavelko, and Adam Steinberg.

Announcements included:

Bill Steffenhagen brought the committee up to date on the collaborative work with the PPC committee regarding Category A salary caps. Ranges are too narrow, new hires are generally coming in at 120% of minimum, will try to make the case to move the maximum from 150% of minimum to 175% to 200%. Classified staff is already at 175% to 180% of minimum.

The decoupling Faculty and Staff has been stopped due to tremendous pressure on Governor's office from Staff.

Raise will be 3.2% from 7/01-6/02

2.1% from 7/02-12/02

2.1% from 01/03-06/03

3.2 % will show up on the December 1st paychecks and the back pay from 06/01 to 11/30 is expected to be paid out on December 12th.

Coverage and setup for the CEBC table and all seminars was discussed and the table banner was approved.

Domestic Partners Issues:

Jo Ann Carr indicated the the Library system would like us to look into coming up with and setting up a single campus wide domestic partners registry. Currently each service provider is maintaining their own database. Larry Davis brought the committee up to speed on this issue and how it has been slowly progressing through the campus system.
