ASEC Reports
Walt Hopkins attended the February 4 ASEC meeting.
Linda Keller attended the February 18 ASEC meeting and reported that System is asking each campus to study compression at the bottom. Walt will ask Linda for more details. Carla Raatz said they are just finishing a study of compression at the top. Bob Paulos will attend the March 4 ASEC meeting and ask if there'll be a report from Carla. The System Fringe Benefits Committee now supports ORS. Vice President Olean will make a report in favor of the ORS and the Regents will develop a plan.
Larry Davis reported that Pride in Wisconsin Government on 3/24/99 will present an award to the Madison Teachers Union for including in their contract Domestic Partner Health Insurance benefits.

Walt reported that Alan Cohen resigned from the CEBC. Bob Paulos will ask ASEC how they fill a seat. CEBC can try to make sure we get an interested person.
Walt reported that a bill proposing first day pick up of health insurance was in Legislative committee. Larry Davis will try to get some information.
Walt will get an update on a bill regarding ICI.
